One of the largest federal government agencies is currently in search of multiple Infrastructure Specialist you will be managing the platform environments supporting all BPC Command Support Systems (CSS) including tactical platforms. You will also be involved in diagnosing faults covering processing platforms, client platforms, desktop and server infrastructure. You will be responsible for monitoring and maintaining platform performance, availability and capacity to the required levels and undertaking platform configuration, maintenance and upgrades.
The successful candidate will have the following experience:
- Relevant experience providing detailed engineering support (level 3) as part of a technical support team.
- Experience in infrastructure support for mission critical applications.
- Current Microsoft Engineering certification or equivalent experience
- Current VMware Engineering qualification or equivalent experience
- Experience with storage systems specifically EMC Clariion devices.
- Good written and verbal communications skills to support technical feedback and advice, management reporting and vendor communications.
- An understanding of Change management and process.
