Tangent are urgently looking for a Field Operations Engineer to work a 6 month extendable contract in South Africa - Port Elizabeth.
Job description:
Carries out highest level technical support skills per technology
Supports to Fault Management function
Supports Performance Management function
Supports Configuration Management function
Collaborates with others to resolve complex matters
Takes part in 24x7 (Call-out) for technical support
Supports planning and execution of complex network HW/SW upgrades
Investigations major outages
Supports report writing as required by management
Provides OJT competence transfer applicable to own area of expertise
Interfaces with Vendor engineers on escalated technical matters
Makes routine maintenance checks, takes follow up actions and documents
