An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a high profile client, based in London. Procurement Director will be responsible for developing and delivering the Procurement Transformation and will have direct management for responsibility for the Corporate Procurement function and procurement policy.
Key responsibilities:
-Leading the corporate procurement and property functions
-Providing leadership and direction to procurement teams
-Develop a strategic and commercially driven procurement strategy
-Developing and implementing property strategy
-Liaise with a wide range of stakeholders including Ministers, suppliers and department heads
-Secure buy in from stakeholders with regards to changes
Key Skills and Experience:
-Exceptional leadership and management skills
-Excellent knowledge of procurement and supply management (Fully qualified CIPS member and 10+ years of relevant experience)
-High level strategic thinking
-Highly developed contract and/or commercial experience
-Exceptional and demonstrable negotiation skills
Candidates must have had experience of working in large/complex organisations and be comfortable when liaising and negotiating with senior stakeholders in parliament. They will therefore have extensive experience of working within the public sector, and will also preferably have a knowledge of the transport industry.
