Engineering Technician - Injection Moulding Processes (6 Month Contract)
Bellshill, North Lanarkshire
Up to £23,000 DOE pro rata

Our client is a growing company developing new and innovative contact lens materials and manufacturing processes. An opportunity has now arisen for an Engineering Technician to join their team on a six month contract.

If you have experience of managing basic engineering documentation and an understanding of injection moulding processes, this is a great entry level opportunity to contribute to a new and exciting venture. For the right person this contract role also could become permanent.
As an Engineering Technician, you will assist in the management of engineering projects related to the manufacture of contact lenses. This will include running trials and documenting results.

You will be involved in all day-to-day activity within the engineering department. This will include machine installation and breakdown repair, process improvements and corrective action implementation.

Your duties will include:

- Basic tool and machine maintenance
- Assisting with installing and validating machinery
- Supporting calibration and maintenance programmes
- Contributing to design
- Documenting working procedures

Whilst based at our client's Bellshill office and engineering facilities, you may sometimes be required to work at external suppliers' sites.

To be considered for this position, you must have:

- Experience of managing engineering documentation
- An understanding of automation modules
- Experience of basic tool and machine maintenance
- A working knowledge of injection moulding processes

As an Engineering Technician, you must have good IT skills and a flexible approach. Self-motivated and enthusiastic, you must also be a good team player.

Although not essential, some training experience would be an advantage to your application.
