Solutions Architect - Citrix, Virtualisation, WAS/AIX, Wintel
A leading Financial Services company with a reputation for excellence is looking for a Solutions Architect to join their team on a contract basis.
Skills
- Must have a high level of knowledge of Citrix desktops, virtualisation technologies for both applications and desktops, and application packaging techniques.
- A good understanding of architecture frameworks (aligned to TOGAF framework ) and demonstrable ability to produce high level designs
- Extensive experience of developing end to end infrastructure designs on medium to large-scale distributed projects including a knowledge of all components and their interactions
- Extensive experience of designing mid tier/Wintel infrastructure solutions. In particular, a detailed understanding of WAS/AIX, Wintel technologies and Active Directory is preferred
- Experience of service design within an ITIL framework
- A working knowledge of modelling languages such as UML
- A working knowledge of development processes, including testing approaches and method
- Experience in technical roles on major application development or systems integration projects (eg technical/infrastructure architect, lead designer, lead developer)
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively at senior levels, both written and oral Strong consulting and influencing skills, including excellent presentation skills
- Experience of the Financial Services industry (preferred)
