Description
Our client, a leader in asset allocation and index strategies, is seeking a talented User Interface Developer to be part of the Investment Systems application engineering team developing the next generation systems to support global multi asset portfolio management and analytics.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with project team members and internal stakeholders to understand the business workflows, content, goals, and features for the application-'s user interface
- Work collaboratively with business users to elicit the requirements, process flows, roles, and policies necessary for an effective user interaction design
- Implement the final design into a new investment management system using Microsoft .NET technologies including Windows Presentations Foundation in C#
- Develop custom desktop applications to provide an innovative user experience and enable an integrated and consistent look and feel for future MCM applications
- Support the testing and deployment of the user interface components Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience in user interface design and development of enterprise applications
- Strong hands on experience with Microsoft .NET technologies including C# .NET, VB .NET, ASP .NET, ADO.NET, WPF, WCF, Web Services
- Experience with using Web or REST Services in an desktop application
- Experience with Microsoft Prism technologies a plus
- Experience with Object-Oriented Design
- Experience with Agile software development methodologies such as Scrum or other iterative and incremental development methodologies
- Having an understanding of securities and the investment management process to be able to contribute in business requirements analysis and user interface design is a strong plus
- Experience developing financial applications such as multi-asset portfolio management and trading a plus
- Ability to work collaboratively in teams with other specialized individuals and thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Excellent technical and business oriented communication skills
- Self-motivated and self-managed with a high degree of analytical skill and intellectual curiosity
- Detail-oriented with an ability and commitment to delivering highly polished user interface prototypes under tight time constraints
- Ability to provide a strong portfolio of relevant past work for consideration is valuable
