Description
My client is about to embark upon a General Ledger project that will ultimately lead to them rolling out a new group wide General Ledger system - the project will look to consolidate the group finance ledgers in each region onto a single finance platform.
My client requires a business analyst who has experience of working front to back on general ledger projects. In the first phase of the project the business analyst will be speaking to different parts of the business to find out what they want. They will then come up with a TOM and decide up on a vendor or in house solution. Following the 1st phase of the project the BA will then be required to implement the system.
The candidate will be expected to come into the project and hit the ground running. It would therefore be advantageous for the BA to have worked on process improvement projects in the past. It is also important that the BA understands data feeds. This is an exciting opportunity for a finance Business Analyst to join a finance change project at its inception and significantly impact its outcome.
Candidate requirements:
Essential
- Experience of data mapping/Chart of accounts
- Ledger design
- Project experience - full life cycle
- Strong BA experience
- Understands risk/control in a finance area.
Desirable
- Product knowledge - Fixed assets, property, Equity, Fixed Income, Currency, Hedge, private equity
- Investment management experience (Fund Management, private wealth, asset management, hedge funds)
- TOM experience
- Fund admin, fund accounting experience
