Description
Great opportunity for nurses to earn extra money in this economy ... work during the day with an insurance company and perform benefits review on a contract basis for 3-4 months. Could also become a permanent position if budget allows.
Duties include:
- Calling new members in order to complete a health assessment
- Explaining insurance programs that are available (prewrittent scripts are available which explain the details of coverage)
- Referring to a case managers as needed
Requirements:
- Knowledge of Medical Terminology
- Experience as Case Manager or with Utilization Review
- Basic computer knowledge
- A positive, proactive attitude with a high level of energy. Work ethic that is focused, accurate and highly productive
- Meet department accuracy, production and attendance standards
- Other Duties as assigned
