Senior Business Analyst Performance Management - Phoenix, AZ

Senior Business Analyst drives standardization and documentation of cross-functional processes to ensure business and EHR PMO process alignment.  Utilizes business, functional, and technical knowledge to recommend solutions and ensure that projects comply with the needs of other related business initiatives Works closely with other EHR business analysts, to ensure alignment of requirements to business/EHR Leads process mapping exercises and process skills to motivate, lead and develop team members assigned to this area.  Works closely with EHR Program Services Manager to understand and prioritize business goals and information needs, then translate these needs to business and functional requirement documents. Develops project approach, scope, timeline, estimates, and staffing with collaboration of the  EHR PMO as well as the EHR Alliance Team.  Gathers gap analysis, coordinates gap closure through development of business process changes, integration testing, system implementation and post production support Collaborates with business stakeholders to define customer and internal business requirements Collaborates with EHR to define functional and technical requirements Provides management with project status updates and performance feedback

Accountabilities
Leads teams to create and continuously update the master schedule.
Highlights areas of conflict and works with teams to determine management of associated risk and conflict resolution.
Project management (Planning, estimating and budgeting ) including work plans and task management. 
Undertakes GAP analysis and creates plans for resolution.
Documents use cases, process flows, business requirements documents.
Prepare project and application documentation for software applications and all ancillary products as needed. 
Recommends and implements continuous improvements of tools and methodologies within the P2MO and Performance Management teams.
Interacts extensively with and builds strong relationships with vendors, hospital leadership and other EHR leaders.

Experience
4+ years of information systems industry experience. 
Minimum of 4 years experience with PMO methodology.
Significant analytical experience related to business/systems analysis and process improvement in complex situations. 
Advanced knowledge of health insurance/managed care and related technology market and products. 
Advanced technical knowledge of multiple platforms and related applications and how they interact, including ability to visualize and document how changes from one system affect another.
Experience in development/implementation of complex systems.  
Advanced skills, knowledge and experience in using business analysis techniques and tools and the ability to mentor and coach team members in their use.

Education - Bachelors Degree or equivalent professional experience required.

Ability to communicate solution requirements clearly, concisely and completely. 
Assists in preparing documentation of departmental policies and procedures. 
Ability to understand IT projects and concepts as they relate to high-level business objectives, and ability to present those concepts to both IT and non-IT audiences in a concise and easily understandable manner. 
Strong knowledge of MS programs eg Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and VISIO.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills required. 
Possess thorough understanding of business analysis techniques and tools. 
Proven abilities in problem management, process analysis and root cause analysis. 
Strong communication skills (written and verbal) for information gathering and the ability to interact with various client groups. 
Ability to work in a complex and matrixed team environment. 
Ability to handle multiple tasks, set priorities, schedule and meet deadlines. 
Problem solving skills: Adapt in response to new information, shifting priorities, changing conditions, or un-expected obstacles.
Ability to train, and ability to effectively communicate with customers including listening asking relevant questions, giving appropriate guidance and feedback.
Facilitation ability is a strong component of role: Manage meetings & Conflict resolution.
Conceptual skills: Understanding how decisions impacts projects and people.
Works independently with only general direction and minimal supervision.  Uses skills and abilities to complete complex tasks, including deciding which processes to use. 
Advocates for and positively represents other programs and services when working with customers and stakeholders.

Ability to travel 20 to 40% of the time.
