Our client, a large Aerospace organisation requires an Interim HR Advisor for a period of 6-12 months covering maternity. As the HR Advisor you will have a strong bias towards Recruitment & Selection. Reporting into the HR Manager the HR Advisor will provide proactive, professional and business focussed HR support to the appropriate business area to ensure maximum operational performance from the business. You will also provide a cost effective recruitment service in accordance with best HR Practice, performing full life cycle recruitment for all levels and disciplines of staff in accordance with current employment legislation and business requirements. This role will be based across two sites, however predominantly out of Luton.

Advisory Aspect:

  • Primary HR interface for the management teams within their areas of operation
  • Working with the management team to identify the people priorities to deliver high performance
  • Work closely with the respective HR Team to ensure that a fully integrated service is provided to the business
  • To support the HR site lead in the implementation of the HR strategy and provide appropriate functional support for activities such as salary review, Performance Development reviews, performance and capability management
  • To provide coaching and facilitation where appropriate

Recruitment role:

  • Prepare job and person specifications in conjunction with Hiring Managers. Efficiently and effectively source, assess and select superior candidates via established role profiles/specifications. Facilitate the negotiation of offers through to acceptance stage, within established compensation parameters, ensuring "candidate care" is uppermost
  • Assess candidates using structured interviewing and valid testing methodologies as appropriate, to ensure developmental needs are known. Coach and advise managers on best assessment and selection processes
  • Participate in interview process - by conducting screening interviews or first stage assessment and making recommendations to managers (short listing) for consideration
  • Project manage specific recruitment campaigns as required by the business, including drafting of external advertising
  • Maintain contact with candidates through to commencement of employment, including the development and delivery of induction, ensuring all processes are completed in time/against service provision
  • Provide trend analysis on retention and attrition and handle all exits from the business, including conducting exit interviews
  • Attend Business Resource meetings and local HR Reviews as required

As the ideal candidate, you will be CIPD qualified consisting of a strong HR generalist background and in addition have extensive experience within recruitment and selection.
