Senior Tech/Procedure Writer

Job Summary:
Vendor Management Services (VMS) is a shared services group supporting the IT offshore program. VMS is responsible for the oversight and ongoing management of offshore vendors and with improving the efficiency of offshore engagements. The Position will be responsible for documenting processes/procedures being followed in VMS including designing, creating and maintaining the process documentation.

Essential Functions:
Work with various VMS operational areas to determine current standard practices and create comprehensive procedure documents.
Creation of new policy and procedure content, rewriting existing content into a new format, and the on-going maintenance of these documents.
Apply expertise to interview SMEs and conduct research necessary to produce accurate, comprehensive procedure documents.
Troubleshoot issues with content development by communicating with the client and subject matter experts.
Investigate, propose, and implement tools and processes to automate VMS functions and vendor reporting.
Design and implement various types of documentation.
Development of standard operating procedures and new user training.
Participate in, and possibly lead, projects to create, improve, or standardize processes that support vendor operations in a global delivery model.

Basic Qualifications:
BA or BS Degree any field.
5 + years of work experience.
Minimum of 2 years of experience directly related to technical/procedure writing and flow charting.
Professional writing skills - ability to write in a clear and concise manner and to be able to convey information appropriately for a variety of audiences.
Ability to define and analyze business processes and document them in a flow chart format.
Ability to communicate ideas visually. Appreciation for graphics and formatting as well as illustration skills.
Adept at using the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint etc).
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, demanding, and complex work environment.
Well organized and able to track and follow through on multiple activities concurrently.
Strong interviewing and listening skills.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.

Preferred

  • IT experience preferred.
  • Heath Care industry experience

  • Well organized and able to track and follow through on multiple activities concurrently.

Top 3 - 5 Daily responsibilities:
