Description
The Night Drilling Supervisor will be responsible for the safe running of the rig and protection of the well's integrity. S/he will ensure that the well work is carried out to the Company's requirements and issued work program. The highest regard will be paid to the safety of the well-site personnel and the environment. S/he will adopt a proactive approach to safety by generating and promoting safe working initiatives with Company's contractors.
The Night Drilling Supervisor will manage well site operations with the minimum of non-productive time and maximum efficiency without compromising safe operations. S/he will challenge convention by continuously reviewing well-site equipment and systems with the aim of making suggestions to base supervisor that could result in faster and/or safer operations
The Night Drilling Supervisor will personally witness first hand (and supervise as appropriate) all important operations at the well-site.
The Night Drilling Supervisor will continually assess the Company's contractors' ability to provide a competent level of service by completing assessment reports
Will advise his base supervisor of any changes that are required (or suggestions of change) to the issued work program before actually implementing any change to the program at the well-site. Under no account does the Night Drilling Supervisor have the authority to change the work program without consultation and approval from his base supervisor.
Where well costs are maintained on the well site, Night Drilling Supervisor will account for costs on a daily basis with reference to the appropriate contract. S/he will rigorously check any third party service reports for accuracy before accepting them on behalf of Company.
Candidates will need significant experience of: North Sea drilling, semi submersibles, HPHD wells. All North Sea health and safety certifications are essential.
