Software Configuration Management Specialist
My client is a leading industry specialist within the financial industry urgently seeking a Configuration Management Specialist.
Context:
I&O Development supports the development teams during their development life cycle:
- supply an integrated development toolbox for the Java & .NET development platform;
- implement and support standard development processes in the development toolbox;
- define and publish standards and guidelines;
- organize training and education to end users;
- maintain relationship with providers. I&O Development support covers a range of development tools in the domain of software change & configuration management and does focus to integrated development environments for Java and .NET developments.
Objective:
You will design, develop and maintain the Configuration Management solution based on CA-SCM Harvest and Team Foundation Server based on the requirements of the different development teams.
You will ensure that this solution is conform to the global design and standards of I&O architecture.
You will act as a single point of contact within the IT organization for Distributed Development Support (Java & .Net).
You will deliver advice and consultancy to our clients by analysing their requirements, by mapping these needs on technical solutions and by proposing structural solutions keeping in mind the timing and cost dimensions.
You will maintain contacts with our users in the different business lines, development teams and external providers.
You will conduct pro-active market watch and follow-up product evolutions.
You will analyze possible evolutions and propose an action plan.
You will play a leading role in the support team by identifying the activities related to the evolution or maintenance of the solution and by following the implementation of the corresponding changes in the different environments.
Business requirements
At least 5 years of experience in IT with interest in a mix of functional and technical activities; able to translate functional requirements into technical solutions in close collaboration with our internal customers in the business and IT.
Mandatory technical requirements
Ability to translate functional requirements into technical solutions in close collaboration with our internal customers in the business and IT. Sound knowledge of software development and Software Change Configuration Management tools (CA SCM Harvest, SVN, Microsoft Team Foundation Server, Hudson, Sonar, Ant, Maven, Rational development tools, Rational Application Developer, Microsoft Visual Studio, )
Preferable
Knowledge of software development processes (CMMI, ISO2000 )
Knowledge of Java technology and development
Knowledge of .NET technology and development
Basic knowledge of Unix Operating System
