Health Information Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) called the most sweeping health care legislation in the United States in 30 years; HIPAA is a complex regulatory effort impacting all health plans, provider organizations and health care consumers. Work is currently focused on Administrative Simplification which includes protecting patient information through privacy and security regulations, creating standard formats for transmitting electronic transactions such as claims and enrollments, and establishing identifier codes for providers, employers, health plans and individual consumers.Position Overview:
As a member of the IMG DCS Technology Administration team you will be responsible for project management which may include large complex application and infrastructure coordination and scheduling work across the IT Organization. This will include supporting development and maintenance of project plans, metrics for reporting to senior leadership, updating budget and reporting metrics. Excellent verbal and written skills are a must, as well as having the ability to effectively communicate with senior project managers in terms of understanding what's required to support the project
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in a related field and/or 5 years of equivalent work experience.
A minimum of 3 years of experience in project management.
Project planning, budgeting, forecasting and status reporting.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Excellent task scheduling skills.
Excellent customer service experience working in a team environment.
Proven expertise in using the following:
o MS Project
o MC Excel
o MS Access
o MS Word
o MS PowerPoint
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills a must.
The desired candidate will have a strong project management background and will work in a team environment. Should have high core competence skills, such as communication, team focus, influence, service oriented, problem solving, analytic thinking, planning, personal development and decisiveness.
Be able to perform various project related tasks, such as: Organizing meetings, maintaining project plans, budgets and status report
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Understand or have worked with Microsoft or IBM patch management
Experience with server OS configuration changes and software upgrades
Experience with various server technology OS versions
Experience with Remedy Change management procedures
Compliance background preferred, but not required.
