Description
The contract is with a large consultancy in Brussels to be on an assignment at a large European site in Stockholm.
The main objectives of the system are:
To be a rapid and friendly web application for mapping diseases and other data of interest at European and World scale.
The requested consultants shall be located in Stockholm:
Analyse technical requirements based on user needs and translate them into specific technical functionalities
Develop WEB/GIS application
Develop Data Management layer software to connect with RDBMS and Geodatabases
Develop a Business Logic Layer Software to extract, alter and manipulate data
Design a solution for Data Integration (Service Oriented Architecture) and ETL (Data Extraction, Transformation & Loading)
Tasks and Deliverables:
Development of Web GIS applications on SharePoint 2010; access protocols to the Geodatabase,
Requirements;-
University degree with minimum 4 years experience in IT, or non-University degree with minimum 6 years experience in IT
Extensive programming experience in .NET Framework 3.5 (C#, VB.NET, Silverlight 4, ASP.NET, EF), Visual Studio and Microsoft SQL Server
Excellent knowledge of ArcGIS API for Silverlight, ArcGIS for SharePoint, ArcGIS Server 10
Extensive experience in developing SOAP/REST web services
Extensive experience in technical documentation writing
Experience in agile development methods, including Test Driven Development
Experience with SharePoint (MOSS 2010) and Microsoft Internet Information Services (IIS)
Extensive experience in UML modelling and OOP design
