Computer Operator for the City of London - Systems Operator for the City of London
I am looking for a Systems Computer operator for this large financial concern in the City of London
Perform pro-active daily health checks/capacity checks for service line and make the service line aware of any issues.
Ensure live service support is maintained for all supported service lines through monitoring of all Systems.
Be able to execute technical solutions to issues
Help reduce the number of call outs to service lines by identifying repeat failures and using the relevant process to resolve them
Suggest and assist with long term fixes to prevent repeat call outs
Ensure that on call procedures are followed correctly and any relevant escalation is carried out in an efficient manner.
Ensure that out of hours Remedy records, including those raised by other members of the shift, are completed to the required quality.
Support backup strategy by ensuring the shift is performing on-site/off-site tape storage management to the required high standard.
Ensure that customer calls are dealt with in an expedient, efficient and courteous manner.
Support weekend project work as required.
The shift pattern cover 24/7 and is broken down into 8 hour stints. To be considered for this role you need to be IT aware and willing to work shifts
