Our client, a leading Asset Manager, currently seeks a OTC Derivatives Pricing Projects SME, to be based in The Docklands.

The OTC Derivatives Pricing Projects SME will be part of the implementation of a target technology and operating model to support OTC Pricing across a number of products and functions within Securities Services and will be responsible for:
-Work closely with both the project team and relevant business lines to ensure current processes are fully understood and documented
-Meeting with OTC Pricing Team and OTC Pricing Stakeholder to understand objectives and goals around a target operating model to support OTC Pricing. Capturing detailed requirements considered necessary to deliver on these objectives. Collaborating with the project team and Stakeholder to categorise these requirements to distinguish those which are critical to deliver on these objectives, versus those which desired
-Identifying how successful delivery of these objectives will be measured
-Working with system analysts and system developers to specify a solution to meet the business requirements. This is achieved through close working with the team to ensure current processes are fully understood and proposed changes to these are clearly understood and communicated back to the OTC Pricing Team
-The creation 'To Be' state business processes is the responsibility of the SME, as is the production of use cases, training materials and user procedures to accompany the delivery of a new technology solution
-Working with system analysts and developers to help detail, structure and test the technical delivery. Typically the SME takes responsibility for functional testing, in their capacity as representative of the end-user, providing important early feedback as to the suitability of the developed solution. The production of tailored and relevant test-packs is also therefore a key SME responsibility
-Accountable for ensuring the adopted solution meets the expectations and requirements of the business line(s) which are to be impacted
-When nearing implementation, the SME takes on the important role of assisting with the smooth transition of business change. They are a central point of reference for queries from the affected business lines, will assist with training and UAT support, and be on hand to assist with key tasks required for migration. In the weeks following implementation, the SME also remains available for any general support and assistance regarding the implementation and associated business process change
-The SME is expected to take a full and active role in meetings & workshops to provide input into strategic as well as tactical debates, with particular emphasis on how the business can support the architecture

As such, the successful OTC Derivatives Pricing Projects SME will have the following skills and experience:

-A professional manner is essential, and credibility with stakeholders will be central to the success of the role
-Strong inter-personal and communication skills; must be capable of communicating clear, unambiguous requirements in both written and verbal forms, making presentations to internal audiences, and interacting positively with IT and business management, users, vendors and central project office
-Must be able to work independently, have strong process re-engineering and problem solving skills, and be self-directed
-Must be familiar with fundamentals of computing environment concepts and configuration, ie have a reasonable grasp of the underlying technology supporting the business
-Ability to build and maintain relationships with colleagues, clients and third parties
-Ability to plan and organise workload to meet deadlines, taking into account relative priorities
