Segula Technologies has a need for a DB2 Database Administrator (DB2 DBA) for the Carson City, Nevada area. Qualified candidates please send your Resume (MS Word format) to Dana More. This is a contract opportunity; duration is 3 months + with a possibility of extension 6 to 12 months.
EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIRED Minimum of seven (7) years of DB2 database administration experience on z/OS or MVS platform; Have hands on experience with performance turning of SQL's using DB2 explain and Optimize DB2 resource utilization by tuning queries, recommending indexes and configuring database parameters; Experience in DB2 database design, development and administration of large scale operational DB2 databases; Experience working with IBM Admin tool suite, Query Monitor, and Omegamon DB2 PE; Have in-depth knowledge of DB2 utilities such as LOAD, UNLOAD, RUNSTATS, REORG, COPY and RECOVER; Have experience with DB2 Stored Procedures, Triggers and DB2 Partitioning Schemas; QMF and SPUFI to write efficient SQL queries; Be talented coding experience in REXX and Cobol programming languages; candidate to undergo drug and background check.Please take a look at the job description send me your updated Resume.
