This fast growing leader in integrating Microsoft Lync/Unified Communications, Exchange, Active Directory, and MS Office Communications Serve into existing VoIP environments has an immediate contract-to-hire opportunity in Texas for a Microsoft Lync/Unified Communications Engineer/OCSArchitect. This position requires deep Microsoft Infrastructure experience and configuration/installation experience with Exchange 2007, Active Directory, and Microsoft Office Communications Server 2007. Requires Microsoft Certifications (Preferably MCSE, Exchange, OCS) and Cisco Certifications are preferred. Must have strong Project Management skills and PMP Certification is preferred. Strongly prefer Cisco VoIP experience and Cisco certifications. Must have strong troubleshooting and system level architecture skills. Requires excellent oral and written communication skills as this is a client facing position. Strong preference for candidates based in Houston, TX but can live and work remotely with minimal travel to client sites. This Engineer/Architect will perform billable design services for Unified Communications and MS Infrastructure projects, including Servers, storage, voice/video, and network components. Will establish IT architectures for complex customer environments, work on IT planning cycles, and oversee infrastructure implementations. Will also assist in pre-sales efforts and mentor engineers as needed.
