Senior Infrastructure Engineer Project Work - Financial Services
Start Date - within 2 weeks
Rate - Market Rate
Installing and upgrading the Operating System Software and related Operating System tools.
Implementation of departmental procedures including change control and security procedures.
Maintenance of security of the Operating System, users and roles
Monitoring system storage and planning for future storage requirements for the database systems.
Installation of additional or replacement hardware on the various environments.
Monitoring and optimising the performance of the Operating System and associated hardware and offering
assistance to developers in optimising their applications, queries, etc.
Active Directory management - backups/restores/upgrades/disaster recovery
Act as a liaison between my client and the Operating System Software Vendor for technical
support, upgrades, bug fixes, etc. as necessary.
Production of technical documentation to agreed quality standards.
Managing open incidents in accordance with the Operations Level Agreement.
Delivering the required monitoring reports.
Reporting to the System Administration Team leader any issues that may be relevant.
Ensuring a close working relationship is maintained with business users and suppliers
Adherence to relevant department methodologies and procedures.
Ensuring compliance with relevant legislative, regulatory, audit and licensing requirements.
Assisting with the production of Operations related KPIs, regular management reports and other required
management and project information.
AD Group Policy Management including complex deployment management and enhancements.
Development of new GPOs to meet specific server security requirements
Exchange Server management/installation/upgrade/enhancements
Strong VMware
