Description
My client is urgently seeking a Ericsson Packet Core Engineer to be based in Fiji (Suva) for a 6 month contract to start ASAP. Please feel free to send your CV. Please note that only candidates that do not require a visa or can support there own will be considered.
Integration of Ericsson Packet Core (Ericsson SGSN with other vendor's equipment)
PRIOR EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Solid Hands-on Experience with building, installing (cold start), configuring and troubleshooting the Ericsson SGSN and/or GGSN.
Experience with the other Packet Core Nodes GSN Support Server (GSS), DNS Server, GGSN etc.
Experience of open interface testing such as IuPS and Gn/GP.
Good knowledge of wireless technologies (GSM, GPRS, EDGE, UMTS, LTE) and related protocols.
Experience with 3G and 2G protocol analyzers (Nethawk and WireShark).
Practical experience with work in a laboratory test environment.
Knowledge of 3GPP specifications.
Excellent Knowledge sharing ability
Knowledge of networking and system architecture.
Experience in troubleshooting complex technical issues.
Flexibility and Adaptability.
Highly motivated, independent and ability to take initiatives.
Fluency in English (verbal and written).
Excellent Interpersonal and communications skills.
Standard office environment - Microsoft Office skills, excel, word, PowerPoint, etc. DESIRED:
Additional experience with Ericsson other Ericsson Infrastructure nodes (MPBN) is a bonus.
Experience from Inter Operability Test TCP/IP Networks routing, configuration and basic protocols.
Working experience within the IP area and end to end/network level verification of telecommunication systems is also valued.
UNIX/Linux operation and basics of administration (Searching through files, interpreting log files, script configuration, configuration of IP Networking on UNIX/Linux Servers, vi.).
