Title: Oracle Database Administrator
Location: Jacksonville, FL
Type: Contract
Duration: 6 months
Responsibilities:
Our client, a leading financial institution, seeks a Database Administrator to:
* Install, configure, maintain, troubleshoot and tune financial databases on UNIX/Linux
* Expertise with setting up, Performance tuning and administration of Golden Gate (Not required but nice to have).
* Oracle 10g/11g migration
* Oracle 10g/11g Database Backup & Recovery
* Administer databases through full application life cycle, development, testing, and production
* Participate in database build designs
* Prepare for and execute database backup/recovery
* Maintain secure and audited systems
* Participate in on-call rotation
Top must have skills:
- Database tuning
- SQL Tuning
- Oracle RAC 10g/11g.MUST BE STELLAR AT*
- Oracle 10g to 11g Migration experience
- ASM
Requirements:
* Candidates must have at least 8+ years experienced as Oracle DBA
* In-depth knowledge of Oracle processes and architecture (9i, 10g, 11g)
* In-depth Knowledge of Oracle 10g or 11g RAC, RAC internals, RAC Tuning
* Expertise with ASM
* Strong analytical and problem solving skills
* Good experience with systems integration, database design, application SQL and database tuning, space management, database monitoring, and RMAN backup and recovery
* Production work experience with UNIX and Linux
* Effective verbal and written communication skills, high level of initiative, team member, and multitasking ability in a large organization
* W2 only; No third party or 1099 candidates.*
