System Test Engineer, DTV and DVB, Belgium, English speaker
This is a great opportunity to work for our client who is a leader in the Electronics Industry and is currently working on the innovation of Digital Televisions.
As System Test Engineer you will be responsible for testing the software to its full extent to assure that the system behaves according to the requirements. The TV software includes user interfaces, HDMI/CEC protocol, 3D, Video and Audio.
Responsibilities:
- Understanding and analysing requirements with respect to a specific feature
- Interact with SW architects and test cluster leaders to define test strategies and conduct risk assessments
- Assure complete coverage of the specification requirements by creating test strategies, methodologies and test scenarios.
- Make sure the correct infrastructure is in place for executing the tests.
- Able to interpret the result of the testing and identify errors/defects encountered during testing.
- Evaluation of the encountered error, take appropriate action eg. set-up additional tests, re-execute test
- PR handling: enter/follow-up/conclusion of the PRs
Profile:
- Higher education (BSc/MSc) in software or electronic engineering or has reached this level through another form of training or experience
- Highly interested and good knowledge of validation and test methodology, relevant test tools Highly self-motivated and dynamical personality
- Strong communicative person feeling at home in a multicultural environment
- Strongly result-driven, able to work independently
- Team based, and highly flexible
- Good command of English
- 1 to 3 years experience
- Technical TV-knowledge is considered as an advantage
