Instructional Designer - Scottsdale, AZ
A leading Scottsdale, AZ company is searching for a Instructional Designer for a 6 month plus contract.
Quickly understand and translate knowledge into effective training content for supply chain topics that include: systems, business process, and details.
Partner with various levels of management to create training programs which improve performance.
Take initiative to create design plans, storyboards, job aids and feedback mechanisms.
Manage end-to-end process for the training development life cycle, from initial design to writing courseware to continuous improvement through evaluation.
Design and develop interactive learning that includes course objectives, activities, simulation scenarios, graphic art/media, and valid/reliable assessments to meet course objectives.
Adheres to company approved design standards and templates for the development and delivery of all training curricula.
Completes assigned training design and development projects within established timeframes.
Develops training content in collaboration with subject matter experts.
Develops training materials including learning objectives, outlines, leader guides and participant materials within established timeframes.
Works with associates to ensure content is effective globally, including addressing issues such as local language and technical standards.
Provides weekly updates and communicates effectively with your Project Manager as requested.
Required Skills:
3+ years of experience in the field Instructional Design - preferably with a global organization.
Experience in reviewing and analysing corporate training or instructional programs, making recommendations and executing/implementing solutions.
Proven experience in consulting with management and SME, in the creation of E-learning solutions and other text based solutions.
Experience in working with instructional design or training teams in the creation and implementation of instructional curricula using a wide variety of instructional media.
Experience required in the ID software tools Techsmith Snagit, RapidBuilder or Adobe Captivate, Camtasia Studio, Articulate Engage, MS Word, and MS Powerpoint.
Additional knowledge in Flashform, Flash, Adobe FrameMaker, Adobe Acrobat, Adobe Dreamweaver, Adobe Photoshop beneficial
Experience with Enterprise Planning Suite, Price and Promotions, Transportation solutions a plus.
