Description
We are looking for an experienced (5-8yrs) Test Engagement Manager from Telecoms (mobile communications) with Testing background with strong knowledge and experience of mobile network nodes. An applicant will have following role and skills sets
Roles, Responsibilities:
Over all responsible for technical engagement/Test Environment design, delivery, support and maintenance.
Ensure all user and customer stakeholders are communicated and managed appropriately.
Attend and chair any monthly/weekly service review meetings
Manage day to day operations.
Act as the point of ownership for Environment Configurations.
Plan/manage Test projects from test environment point of view.
Plan/manage upgrades and installations.
Technical co-ordination with domains and vendors for environment building and support.
Liaise with MTS user/vendor for resolving issues that require 2nd line support from them eg H/W faults expansions etc.
Ensure that the Service meets specific Work Order requirements.
Co-ordinate with Vodafone to ensure that all Work Order issues are addressed at the earliest opportunity.
Continuously review the Work Order processes, procedures and standards so that they can be improved where possible.
Ensure that Test projects, BAU activities and Core Services are appropriately resourced with competent staff.
Co-ordinate with Client to ensure that any issues are addressed at the earliest opportunity.
Ensure that Services meet Client requirements.
Produce and distribute the Service Metrics for the Service review meetings.
Skill-set:
Excellent Communication and Inter-personnel Skills.
Knowledge of Mobile Telephony ie GSM, UMTS. Understanding of LTE is an added advantage
Understanding of End to End Telecom Network Architecture and Nodes ie. MSC, BSC, RNC, HLR, VLR, GGSN, SGSN, MGW, SGW etc.
Working knowledge of at-least one domain area either of: Ericsson- MSC or RNC, BSC or MGW, SGW or CISCO- SGSN, GGSN
