Description
A company in Las Colinas has a contract to hire need for a Director of Corporate Services Information Technology Portfolio. This position will serve as a general partner between the Information Technology Department and their Finance, Accounting, HR, Legal and Office Services. You will also be responsible for managing relationships with customers to understand general needs and requirements for their IT services and solutions.
Responsibilities Include:
- Facilitates completion of project planning and initiation documents such as: roadmaps, vision, business case, high-level budget, outlined requirements/actors/use cases, project backlogs.
- Provides input to address prioritization of new projects.
- Is the triggering point for initiating a development project team.
- Works with IT project managers to summarize and communicate to business line executives the project status on applications within their portfolio.
- Regularly meet with business line executives and product managers to review performance of IT solutions delivery, ensure business metrics are being captured, status of projects underway within the portfolio and review pipeline projects.
- Manage vendor and contracting relationships with outsourced hosting provider.
- Manages the IT asset review for their assigned portfolio. Works with IT application architects to gather and maintain technical metrics and relevant information needed to make appropriate recommendations (enhance, maintain, sunset) to business line executives for applications within their portfolio.
- Keep abreast of industry equivalents, alternative products and promising new technologies.
- A key participant in continuous IT strategic planning to ensure the IT environment is positioned to delivery services and solutions.
Requires:
- Requires 7 to 10 years experience in Information Technologies, with an emphasis on Business Analysis, IT, Product Management, Program Management, and Project Management.
- Knowledge of Financial and HR systems required. Financial & HR System experience with Lawson systems preferred.
- Requires experience with Vendor Management for contract and service level negotiations.
- Requires ability to build strong strategic working relationships with internal and external partners.
- Requires a proven track record in engaging multiple stakeholders to develop process and technology solutions that meet enterprise-wide needs.
