Description
Immediate opening for a senior WPF developer. This person will work as a key member of an agile development team to migrate an existing Delphi 5 application to a WPF based Point of Sale application. Qualified candidates must have in-depth experience developing and implementing WPF based Client Server solutions utilizing the MVVM design pattern and must possess a strong understanding of object-oriented design principles. Knowledge of WPF application deployment strategies are a must. Integration with both WCF based services and/or other XML based web services are required. Experience with Embedded SQL databases and database synchronization is also key. The role will require heavy interaction with business stakeholders and product owners and as such will require excellent communication skills as well as a consultative demeanor. The candidate will be a highly motivated self-starter who can work effectively in a dynamic environment where goals and specifications may change frequently.
Required Experience:
3+ years Extensive WPF development experience.
MVVM.
Prism.
C#/.NET - 5+ years.
SQL Server 2005+.
ORM required (Entity Framework, LINQ to SQL, NHibernate - Entity Framework Preferred) - 2+ years.
Unit Testing - 2+ years.
WCF 2+ years.
Solid communication skills and ability to present in front of a client.
Preferred Experience:
Agile development.
Firebird DB.
Team Foundation Server preferred.
Consulting experience preferred.
