Description
The contract is with a large consultancy in Brussels to be on assignment to a large European site.The role is twofold. Firstly to help defining project management methodology and secondly organising workshops to explain the methodologies to other departments.
Tasks:
The consultant will contribute to the evolution and adoption of the PMP methodology as follows: Methodology evolution:- evolution and integration of the methodology with well established project managements standards like CMMI, COBIT, PRINCE2, PMI and other internal methodologies; identification and incorporation of best practices related to project management and software engineering methods; dissemination of information on methodology practices in the form of aticles, documents, presentations; specification of IT roles and tasks in the software engineering process within the methodology.
Methodology adoption:- coaching on the adoption and customisation of the methodology to practitioners; mentoring of teams that are starting with the methodology adoption; proposal of customisable adoption plans for different teams and needs. Methodology network evolution:- support and maintain a network of project managers that have an interest in project management; coordinate and facilitate project management community of practice meetings.
Expertise:
experience/competence in project management/methodology standards - RUP, CMMI, COBIT, PML, ITIL, PRINCE2; project management within projects of methodology application or application on change management; sound exp in projects that have applied successfully well established software engineering methodologies.
Additional skills:
presenting to large audiences; presentation preparation skills; drafing skills; customer and results driven; self-starting capability and exp in team working.
Additional qualifications:
Engineering or Computer Science degree; coaching/mentoring of project teams; exp in establshment of contracting guidelines for projects implemented by external parties. Very good English; French an asset.
