SQL, SSIS, SSRS, Veritas, Tivoli, SCOMJOB DESCRIPTION AND ROLE
My client is looking for SQL Server DBA for a role based in Belgium
MODULES/SKILL SET/TASK TO BE COMPLETED
Server administration
Manage database operation (backup, restore, migration)
Handle server and database security (user & permission management)
Preventive and corrective maintenance activities (patch & fix deployment)
Server Installation (new instance deployment)
Detect/analyse and propose server and databases improvements (performance, security, tuning)
Application & development support
Support and advise development teams.
Technical advisor on new projects.
Fixes and patches deployment for application databases in coordination with IS
The candidate must be able to work independently while keeping a team spirit and committed to deliver.
The contractor will have to strictly follow the existing procedures and processes.
The contractor will have to participate into the stand-by (on-call) activity.
COMPETENCIES
The candidate must have a proven experience with
SQL Server 2005, 2008
Replication processes
SQL 2000 DTS packages
SSIS (SQL Server Integration Services - management, development, deployment)
SSRS (SQL Server Reporting Services - management, development, deployment)
Programming language (ASP, .NET, C#)
Knowledge of the following tools will be an asset.
Veritas Cluster
SQL Server 2000
Microsoft System Center Operations Manager (SCOM)
Internet Information Services (IIS)
Tivoli Storage Management
LANGUAGES
English - French or Dutch is an asset
