DESCRIPTION

The Marketing Segment Specialist will market product development with a local-media focus.

Responsibilities:
  • Market channel delivery and product strategy/positioning.
  • Analyze advertising trends and increase business market trends.
  • Evaluate Profit & Loss, average customer value, and ROI.
  • Conduct secondary advertiser and consumer research.
  • Create product development and positioning plans including the provision of project timelines, projected revenues and expenses, sales channel and target considerations, and projected ROI.
  • Develop, implement, and support the project plan by working closely with the necessary channels (sales, production, manufacturing, IT, finance, etc).
  • Work with cross-functional teams and vendors to ensure the successful execution of projects.
  • Conduct detailed product, customer and market level analysis, and make recommendations on changes to project strategy and execution.
  • Analysis and communication of market level data illustrating, share of wallet in target industry.
  • Provide product suite and pricing refinement in target industry.
  • Work with Interactive group in development of online vertical priorities and strategy.
  • Assist in identifying high-propensity-to-buy-non-advertisers in vertical segments.
  • Obtain sales channel and customer feedback on industry needs and disseminate best practices.
  • Work closely with sales teams on industry training and proposal development for major accounts.
Qualifications:
  • BA in Marketing or related field required; MBA a plus.
  • Must have minimum of three years work experience in Health & Medical industry as decision maker in advertising purchase decisions and/or media plan development across multiple media.
  • Industry expertise in vertical marketing strategy a must.
  • Expert verbal and written communication skills required.
  • Must have market analysis expertise.
  • Microsoft Office skills necessary.
  • Minimum of seven years work experience in Health & Medical industry performing various business roles in sales or marketing preferred.
  • Background in a marketing function within a small/medium consumer-focused practice desired.
  • Requires some travel.
