DESCRIPTION

The Network Services/Support consultant will be performing standard Tier 1 monitoring, ticketing, analysis, resolution, and triage of faults occurring in network elements, as needed. The supported elements include Unix and Windows Servers and other mobile telephony applications.

Responsibilities
  • Perform fault isolation, validation, and some repair for supported network nodes, escalating and tracking advanced repair to specialized teams.
  • Rapid assessment of both the nature and severity of customer problems to evaluate appropriate response, engaging various support organizations to provide that response.
  • Assist and support the engaged support organizations to reduce duration and severity of customer impact and/or loss of redundancy.
  • Open, update, and close trouble tickets as required to track progress of trouble resolution.
Qualifications
  • 6 months experience with Netcool Fault Monitoring tool.
  • 1 year experience with CTS ticketing system or other Remedy-based system.
  • 1 year experience with Unix (Linux, HP/UX, and/or Solaris).
  • Experience with Mobile Communications protocols a plus.
  • Familiarity with SMS and MMS
  • Mobility Network knowledge
  • APN, MAR, MIND, WAP, SS7, 3G, 4G, LTE and RAN Technology experience
