Description

This Quality Assurance engineer will work as part of an agile team that is delivering the first functionality for sales 2.0. The Dynamic Assortment Selling project team will create a mobile and online interface that allows our sales force to bring a compelling presentation of their assortment plan to the retailer. The retailer will seamlessly be able to take that plan and convert it to an order faster than ever before. Our QA team will work very closely with the developers and business analysts right from the requirements gathering stage. As a member of the team you'll be around to ask the awkward questions and try the scenarios that analysts or developers don't dream up. We believe that there are many more improvements necessary to advance software testing as a craft, and we are currently thinking a lot about ways to do automated integration and acceptance testing.

Skills/Roles Required for this Position:

  • 5+ years commercial experience as a QA engineer/software developer with significant focus on test automation.
  • Experience with more than one of the leading test automation tools and frameworks, closed-tools such as QTP and open-source tools such as Sahi, Selenium, Watir/N, Fitness, and Cucumber etc.
  • Experience with all aspects of test automation: functional, performance, stress, etc.
  • Experience with testing products with the following technology stacks (or equivalent): Ruby, Java, SQL, XML, web services.
  • Experience in testing web applications with knowledge of browsers and user-interface testing techniques. Mobile applications testing experience is a plus.
  • Knowledge of software best practices like test-driven development (TDD), behavioral-driven development (BDD), and continuous integration.
  • A disruptive attitude towards technology innovation.
  • A willingness to do what it takes to get the job done. Whether that means going back to the drawing board with a problem or simply taking on different roles and responsibilities for a period of time you thrive at adapting to changing environments.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or other relevant subject area.
  • Experience, interest and adaptability to working in a Lean/Agile delivery environment.
  • Exceptional collaboration, listening, written and verbal communication skills.
