Operating System Developer, Connectivity, Embedded, Linux, Belgium, English speaker
Our client is currently searching for an Operating System Developer with knowledge and experience within the Connectivity domain which includes WI-FI, USB drivers, Ethernet etc. This is a great opportunity to be a part of the latest development of Digital Televisions.
Responsibilities:
- Analyse system performance and problems seen during system execution
- Define/create methods and tools to budget, measure, analyse and improve critical resource performance (and subsequently perform measurements, analysis and drive improvements)
- Develop and improve system diagnostics and debugging methods
- Increase effectiveness and efficient of performance and problem analysis via automation
- Design and development for user level TV applications on a Linux based software platform
- Ensure proper documentation for the development software
- Organise independent reviews of your design and code with colleagues
- Work closely with colleagues from other disciplines and third-party software suppliers
- Actively contribute to and give support in the analysis and resolution of problems
- Operate in a project driven organisation and respond to directions from your ream leader
- Ensure timeliness of commitments and milestones whilst guaranteeing the quality of the software and all deliverables
- Keep abreast of technical developments in own field through study of literature and via technical contacts
- Perform activities in conformance with local processes, procedures and quality guidelines
Profile:
- Industrial or Civil Engineer or Master in Informatics or specialisation in Computer Sciences
- Minimum of 2 years experience with Embedded Software environment (Linux, C)
- Knowledge of setting up file systems
- Experience with System and/or Driver Integration
- Third party software supplier and Android experience is an advantage
- Communicative and results driven
- Can individually as well as within a team
- Fluent English
