This is not an agency role. It is working on a full service project full time. Not limited tenure.
The Position:
This position is open to experienced and enthusiastic LAMP (PHP) Developers/Architects who are looking to test their skills and abilities in web and application development to work in a top end team based in Melbourne's CBD. The immediate requirement in this position is for someone who Back End oriented, but any experience with both Front End and Back End development is equally welcomed.
Required Experience and Skills:
- Experience in web development with Linux, Apache, MySQL and PHP (LAMP) web services.
- Solid analytical, conceptual and technical skills with the ability to trouble-shoot and resolve problems.
- Working knowledge of SQL, XML, HTML/XHTML, CSS, Javascript/Jquery/AJAX, Web 2.0 and cross browser/platform web development techniques and web services.
- Demonstrable ability to code advanced Web site features without the use of CMS or code generation tools.
- Adaptable and detail oriented, dependable and responsible.
- Professional and able to work with minimal supervision.
- Exhibits sense of urgency, shows initiative, and takes an enthusiastic proactive approach to work and problem solving.
Always a Plus:
- PHP framework (Zend, etc.).
- Web testing frameworks or automation experience.
- Familiarity with HTML5/CSS3 and development for mobile devices.
- Working knowledge of web application life cycle development methodologies, deployment practices, version control, and testing.
