Responsible for performing Systems Analysis and Technical Design using CA Gen Component based development as part of the application development projects executed by the development team.
Will include:
- Quality confirmation and control for Systems analysis
- Technical design as part of the outsourced projects executed under auspices of the development team
- Mentoring of any less experienced Systems Analysts in the team.
- Participate in feasibility studies, scoping studies and application development projects to produce detailed documentation that is:
Ensure that documentation produced:
- Is traceable to the documented requirements
- Adheres to the published technical standards
- Conveys sufficient information for the developer to implement the requirements in code and
- Conveys sufficient information for the System Testers to test the implementation of these requirements
- As a Systems Analyst, responsible for system impact analysis, identifying interface inpact, identifying related system impact, high level design, translating business requirements into a technical solution, producing the appropriate technical documentation and ensuring compliance to architectural standards within project work.
- As A technical lead, provide technical leadership for all project technical tasks and activities
- Produce all required documentation for the technical analysis and design
- Ensure all security requirements policies are analysed and designed for a consistent and secure implementation
- Liaise with business analysts, architects, developers, technical testers and third party vendors to ensure technical requirements are understood and met
- Assist the project manager in determining scope, impact analysis, technical risks, timeframes, deliverables, and responsibilities and in the preparation and execution of Project plan and project schedule
- Demonstrated experience in Component based Gen Development
- Proven experience in current systems analysis and design techniques, including exposure to UML, RUP and Use case modelling
- Experience in/exposure to reverse engineering requirement from Legacy systems
- Ability to develop clear analysis and design documentation and coding specifications from detailed business requirements, and to accurately document them
- Strong knowledge of the Application development life cycle
- Demonstrated previous experience in analysis and design on large scale mission critical projects in large corporate or government bodies.
