About the posistion
On behalf of our client we are currently looking for a Senior DSP Software Designer/System Engineer to our Gothenburg office. You will work in a multi-disciplinary team to perform innovation and prototyping of future baseband architectures and algorithms. The challenge is to combine algorithms and acceleration that can deliver very competitive radio link performance, power efficiency and flexibility for multi-mode, future features and optimizations. Emphasis will be on WCDMA, LTE and LTE-Advanced.
Your responsibility is primarily to propose and evaluate more efficient concepts for implementing baseband algorithms on DSPs, ASIPs and HW accelerators. Included in your work is also confirming performance in system simulators with prototype software.
Qualifications and experience
To be successful in this role the candidate should have more than 5 years relevant experience.
A relevant M.Sc. degree or equivalent is required.
Skills requirements
Documented experience of DSP Software design and systemization.
Understanding of layer 1 and/or layer 2 processing of at least one major wireless standard, such as LTE, WCDMA, GSM and WiMax
Experience of one or more of the following areas is preferred:
ASIC systemization and RTL design
Processor design and customization
Algorithm design and evaluation
System level modelling and simulation
System design and evaluation
Fixed point optimization
The candidate should enjoy working in a very dynamic environment. The job requires ability to initiate and lead promising technology studies and it will be important to actively search for collaborations within the company. Prior experience from international and multicultural work is preferred. As we are a global company the candidate must be able to communicate fluently in English, both verbally and in writing. Good communication, documentation and presentation skills.
