Description
This position is responsible for product management of functionality within the larger My Plan and Coverage program. My Plan and Coverage includes a range of capabilities from health plan oriented transactions to content designed to help members understand and use their coverage effectively. An initial focus for this position is product management of the National Cost Estimation features not just within this site, but across multiple channels.
The key responsibilities of this position are to:
Specific job duties:
Product planning regarding Estimates capabilities; including strategic thinking around life cycle of consumer engagement with health plans and regulatory trends impacting online estimates.
Coordination with stakeholders (including other channel owners, such as KPHC and CHATS.)
Coordination with other areas such as Creative Services, Products and benefits, content management, IMC, MMC, etc to identify, develop, and deploy appropriate messaging around the online experience
Assist with Advisory Counsel for MPC
Manage requirements gathering process including clarification of business objectives
Partner with other key related projects including Claims Status Online and eServices Revenue Cycle teams
Work closely with the Creative Services team to validate the user interface, interaction, and editorial artifacts meet the objectives of both kp.org, marketing, and products and benefits
Develop and maintain Epic and User level stories and acceptance criteria
Work closely with architects to ensure web services development work is meeting the requirements as well as the creative design needs
Maintenance and support for the Estimates feature online
Participate and lead meetings across the program
General job duties:
Participate in and provide technical/research support, performing the most complex analysis for Product management initiatives.
Participates in, and may lead, cross-functional teams of personnel on routine and entry-level scope activities that support Product management agenda, processes, and programs.
Draft new product strategy to ensure alignment with overall Product management direction.
Identify key actions necessary to remediate all problems/issues and make recommendations to management on steps to ensure product is delivered on time within specifications
Reviews and creates policies and procedures to implement Product management best practices and makes recommendations to management on Program needs to achieve strategic objectives
Reviews Project and Product scorecards and timelines and incorporates key outcomes that are caused by delay or project resource gap into a comprehensive impact analysis.
Draft new product strategy to ensure alignment with overall Product management direction and present to product leadership
Develops product line specifications and ensure integration, in conjunction with Product Management team members and personnel, into product plans to deliver customer value and meet market demand

Strong business analysis skills required
Five years minimum health plan administration experience
Bachelor's degree (or equivalent industry experience)
Software development and/or Internet product management required; Agile experience strongly preferred
Desired skills
Claims processing experience preferred
Knowledge of DIAMOND or Xcelys strongly preferred
Revenue collection experience desired
Five years minimum health plan administration experience
Prior experience with health plan customer service within a claims queue preferred
Experience with 3rd party vendor implementations preferred
Microsoft office experience (Powerpoint, Excel, Word)
Four years general product management or marketing experience preferred
