Link Technologies is currently looking for a Computer Hardware Specialist for a long-term contract assignment in Newark, DE.
This is a Full time contract opportunity that is primarily responsible for the activities related to the technical support of Workstation computers, applications, peripherals, and associated technology. Activities include interaction with application and operating system software to diagnose and resolve issues, through on-site and remote capabilities.
Secondary responsibilities include:
- Installation of disk images to workstations
- Troubleshooting of printers, scanners, and other associated devices
- Installation of new workstations and peripherals
- Ongoing refreshment of workstations and related peripherals
- Inventory management of workstations and other IT assigned peripherals
- Various other duties as identified to assist Client Support
Requirements
- Must be pursuing or have achieved an Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or have relevant professional IT experience.
- Experience demonstrating skills using PC-based word processing, spreadsheet, database, e-mail software and the Internet.
- Experience demonstrating skill gathering, analysing, and reporting on data for internal or external requests.
- Experience demonstrating skill communicating with others, both orally and in writing.
- Experience demonstrating skill understanding and following detailed instructions.
- Ability and willingness to work up to 40 hours per week, Monday thru Friday during normal business hours.
- Ability and willingness to work extended hours or a modified schedule on an occasional basis.
- Ability and willingness to perform physical tasks (for example, lifting and transporting equipment weighing up to 50 pounds and/or up to 75 pounds with assistance).Must successfully pass a Criminal History Background Check.
*This position is a NERC Regulated position. As such, a background check will be conducted on the incumbent every seven years. Additionally, the incumbent will be required to complete annual NERC training.
