Freelance network engineer with ISP experience and NMS background
For an International Internet Service provider in Amsterdam, Darwin Recruitment is currently looking for a freelance network engineer ISP. In this role you will be assisting the configuration manager in his current role. In this role you will be responsible for coordinating and collecting all the network information for the client.
As network engineer ISP you will be responsible on a daily basis for:
- The Main point to contact for application content.
- Collecting the user requirements
- Defining all the configuration templates
- Point of contact for Application Support
- Engineering corporate centre
- Point of contact for NMS team
- Defining various procedures to maintain the data integrity
To qualify for the role of network engineer ISP you need to have the following profile:
- Internet Service Provider background
- Experienced with Cisco/Juniper networks
- Familiar with processes of network planning and operations
- Network Management System (NMS) background
- Analytically strong and communicative
- Understanding and ability to coordinate data migrations and analysis
- Ability to abstract information into databases (data modelling)
- Understanding of Incident and Change Management concepts
- Experienced in reporting and documentation
- Various protocols such as SNMP
- TCP/IP
- VPN
- Broadband experience preferred.
