One of our top Investment Banking clients are currently entering the delivery phase of their multi-year Commodities Transformation Programme.
They have a number of Key deliverables in 2012 including; Risk, PnL, Precious & Base Metals & Clearing and as such are currently hiring for a Subject Matter Expert within the Commodities (Physical & Financial) space.
Key Responsibilities will include;
- Drive Operating Model. Act as the main point of contact for the transformation team of the business line
- Designing future state operating model across process (and expected technology support), organisation, and people
review business requirements as documented by programme analysts based on the op model
- Review & Assurance. Assist the transformation team as the main point of contact for the business line
- Ensure design meets the requirements
- Support delivery & migration readiness activities
- Providing clarifications & review for questions from development & technical testing, typically via business or technical analysts
- Provide input to testing team in developing detailed user test plans & scripts
- Support implementation
- Liaise with key stakeholders across Finance, Risk, Technology, Reference Data, Compliance and Operations
- Run Cut over, user training, testing manuals and all other necessary tasks for successful implementation and handover
The successful candidate will also have the following experience/background;
- Strong knowledge of physical & financial commodities globally in the relevant function. This should cover listed & OTC, specifically Base Metals and gained in doing the job hands-on in the relevant function (viz. Front Office/Middle Office/Logistics/Back Office/Finance/Credit Risk/Market Risk)
- Basic knowledge of technology project life cycle through exposure to project work, eg working in analysis, SME or testing capacity
- Some familiarity with process change concepts & practice, eg re engineering, lean/six sigma, outsourcing/offshoring
- Demonstrated record of thought leadership & influencing the change
- Experience of working in Matrix or dual reporting line capability
- A working knowledge of any of the following applications would be beneficial: Brady, OpenLink, LME apps (Sword, Smart, - Select, DPRS), Clearvision, Rolfe & Nolan
- Exposure to long-term, multi-phase projects
