Cashier-6 Month contract - South East (Portsmouth)
£10.00 - £12.00 DOA/Hour
Volt is currently recruiting on behalf of a market leading organisation based in the South East in Portsmouth for a Cashier; the role will be covering maternity leave - initially for a 6 month contract with the possibility of being extended.
Key Responsibilities:
-Extracting daily banking transactions & balances from bank systems
-Daily update of cash books
-Daily posting of cash receipts onto Navision, ensuring cash allocated correctly
-Daily BACS & CHAPS payments, and intercompany transactions.
-Investigating transactions on bank statement
-Monthly reconciliation of bank accounts
-Adherence to all controls and mandates
-Prepaid cash card administration & control
-Daily posting & batching of cheques receipts
-Updating vendor bank details
Qualifications and Requirements:
-AAT preferred
-Strong Excel skills
-Navision experience preferred
-Eye for detail
-Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
-Ability to organise own work
-Provide excellent customer service to finance team & wider business community
-Team player, willing to go extra mile
