-Validation Engineer:
-Software Evaluation for network storage software, Network and SAN Configuration, Defect troubleshooting
-Running Scripted and Ad-Hoc Test plans,
-Maintaining test environment, Interacting with Development to ensure quality Network and SAN configuration.
Project Description:
- Specifically looking for a candidate that has experience in storage area networking validation (SAN). This may include FCOE or iSCSI experience as well as overall SAN management. This would include installation and configuration storage targets, high bandwidth adapters (HBA), and storage Servers.
Necessary Skills:
- Proficiency in VMware ESX 4.x/5.x, vSphere 4/5 and ESX Certification suite.
- Proficiency in all Microsoft Operating Systems from Windows 2000 to Windows Server 2008.
- Proficiency in Linux Operating systems including RedHat, Suse, SLES.
- Proficiency in SAN administration in both a Windows and Linux environment.
- -Network Switch configuration.
- Understanding of Network Test tools eg NTTTCP, NetPerf, iPerf Chariot, etc
The following qualifications would be an added advantages:
- Experience with the following companies or their products: EMC, Brocade, Emulex, QLogic, IBM/HP storage
- Experience with Network protocol analyzers (packet Sniffer), including Network General Sniffer, Finisar, or Wireshark
- Intel platform and Peripheral Component Interconnect (PCI), PCI-E*, PCI-x* skills.
