IIS Engineer
Skills: IIS 6 & 7, MS Windows Server, Windows Intel hardware, TCP/IP, DNS, network protocols
Summary:
Our client is looking for an IIS engineer to add to our team due to large amounts of growth within the organization. This person will be responsible for hosting IIS web pages on various web Servers, experience with Microsoft server and Windows Intel hardware is required. Wintel experience as well as various network technologies such as TCPIP, DNS, and network related protocols is a must.
Responsibilities:
- Current, enterprise-class Infrastructure/System Engineering experience with Microsoft platforms running on Intel Servers utilizing directly attached and SAN attached storage
- Experience supporting high availability web applications running on IIS Servers
- Experience designing, implementing and managing Active Directory, Internet Information Server (IIS)
- Scripting experience (Batch, WMI, VBScript, Powershell)
- Experience administering Microsoft Visual SourceSafe or other Source control, build automation tools
- Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MSCE)
- Familiarity with Microsoft Operations Framework (MOF) or ITIL
- Microsoft Operations Manager (MOM)/System Center Operations Manager (SCOM), Systems Management Server (SMS)/System Center Configuration Manager(SCCM), SQL Server, Microsoft Cluster Server (desired)
- Experienced in implementing, operating, tuning and troubleshooting enterprise IIS solutions.
- In-depth knowledge of IIS 6 and 7 architecture
- Strong IIS troubleshooting skills and experience with Windows server operating systems
- Experience with IIS performance tuning; IIS Application debugging
- In depth knowledge of browser technology
- Ability to analyze network captures
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field of study or equivalent work experience.
- Minimum 3 years experience in multiple areas of Information Technology
- Insurance experience a plus
