A leading Investment Bank require an experienced Capacity Manager for their new Operations and Cross Product Technology organisation.
Recent growth in the team has highlighted the need for a dedicated Capacity Manager who can lead the OCPT Application Teams in terms of Capacity Planning and reporting.
The Organisation brings together existing teams from Client Facing Technology, FICC Technology, and Enterprise Solutions Technology, and introduces a new Cash, Collateral and Liquidity Management Technology team.
The Organisation supports the following:
* Cash Clearance, Custody and Settlements
* Cash, Collateral and Liquidity Management
* Confirmations
* Enterprise Architecture
* Operations Control
* Payments Scheduling and Accounting
* Reference Data
Recent growth in the team has highlighted the need for a dedicated Capacity Manager who can lead the OCPT Application Teams in terms of Capacity Planning and reporting.
Job Purpose and Accountabilities:
* Engage with the application teams to understand, analyse and review the capacity requirements
* Ensure that the growth forecasts can be delivered with the current capacity
* Ensure that optimum use is made of Enterprise Management Tools to monitor capacity usage and growth
* Model 'what if' growth and volume increase scenarios to highlight potential performance or capacity problems
* Engage with the customer about upgrades before Service Targets are impacted or issues occur
* Produce Capacity plans in line with the agreed attributes; trending resource utilisation etc
* Provide linear growth estimates for future resource requirements
* Produce action plans to deal with actual and anticipated capacity and performance related issues
* Setup and lead monthly capacity board reviews with the customers
* Make the link between the underlying infrastructure and application capacity and performance
* Provide a rolling, annual capacity plan that forecasts capacity requirements and activities which includes predictive modelling with updates on a quarterly basis.
ESSENTIAL:
- Prior experience of working in an Investment Banking environment
- Prior proven Capacity & Performance Management experience in running a function of this kind
- Strong personality to ensure buy in for capacity planning
