The Role
We are currently seeking a finite element model engineer to work alongside us on our clients site. You will perform models creation, validation, exploitation and sizing of aerospace structures.
Key Requirements:
Minimum 5 years of experience in flight vehicle structures, with a lot of experience in finite element calculations and creation
Mechanical or aeronautical engineer or relevant honours degree
Good communication skills
Have a real can do' attitude
Good experience in NASTRAN/PATRAN is required. Knowledge in SAMCEF would be an advantage.
Knowledge of specific Airbus FEM tools/methods would be an advantage (ISAMI, Stress- Dossier and SAFE)
Good knowledge of sizing methods adapted to aerospace is required
Knowledge in composites and damage tolerance would be an advantage
Be able to write comprehensive analysis reports in English
Knowledge of production and manufacturing methods in aerospace
