Urgent Im Senior Infrastructure Engineer required for pivital role within Transportation organisation based in London.
The IM Senior Infrastructure Engineer is a member of the IM Infrastructure team and is jointly accountable for meeting the team's overall objectives and leading the drive within IM to deliver customer satisfaction across all IM services.
This role provides business-critical support and therefore, the role holder may be required to undertake one or more of the following, as agreed with their line manager: work additional hours at short notice; work an off-set working day that enables extended hours coverage; and provide on-call cover on a 24 x 7 basis.

Proven experience in planning, with good analytical skills;
Communicates all needs, instructions and decisions clearly. Adapts the style of communication to meet the needs of the audience. Checks for understanding; and
Proficient in risk management methods and techniques for the assessment and management of IM and business risk.
Experience needed
A Degree in a relevant technology/computer science subject/equivalent technical qualification plus sound on the job experience of the platform specialism or equivalent extensive on-the job experience in IT infrastructure and in the particular platform specialism;
In depth knowledge of the latest and emerging technologies likely to be employed in designing and delivering Enterprise Wide quality solutions in the chosen platform;
A thorough knowledge of technical techniques in the following:- IT Infrastructure Technologies, System Security, Acceptance Testing - including operational, user, functionality and others as required;
The position each role relates to is subject to a specific technical specialism Matrix which describes the relevant technologies and skill levels required to perform at the required level; and
The relevant national and international legislation pertaining to the Government/Public Sector IT - eg Data Protection Act, EU Procurement Directives and Freedom of Information Act.
