The candidate in this contract position will contribute to the systems integration of client and partner technologies to validate Cloud Data Center solutions and build Reference Architecture content for end-users.
OVERVIEW:
- Data Center infrastructure installations and configuration in a lab environment
- Full installation/configuration of server, network, storage infrastructure, provisioning, and configuration
- Installing and integrating addition technology stacks from the client and partners (eg cloud management software)
- Development of test cases/scenarios
- Full functionality and integration testing, test data collection, result compilation, analysis
- Automation and documentation for cloning additional environments at other centers or customer/partner sites
REQUIREMENTS:
- BS or MS in Computer Science or related field
- 1-3 years work experience with Cloud Computing and Data Center virtualization technologies
- Proficient knowledge and work experience in multiple OS (Linux, Windows) and VMM environment (ESXi, Xen, KVM), data center infrastructure services (DNS, DHCP, Active Directory, Firewall/DMZ), Cloud Management (vCenter) and Storage (FC, iSCSI, NAS)
- Hands-on experience in platform builds such as hardware set up, OS images builds, BIOS and/or firmware configurations
- Knowledge in virtualization setup and cloud management solutions
- Good verbal and written communication skills; proactive documentation practices
Additional Skills (Nice to Have):
- Development/Scripting knowledge a plus - Perl, Python
- Networking: Gbit/10Gbit Ethernet and VLAN configurations -CNAA certification
- Programming in Java
