ICD-10 QA Tester/IT Quality Analyst II - Phoenix, AZ

The IT Quality Analyst II will work within the Quality Assurance Competency Center (QACC).  The IT Quality Analyst II has broad responsibility for supporting the strategic quality objectives of the Corporate Business Units (eg, Finance, HR, Billing and other Administrative functions).  The IT Quality Analyst II works with key customers (both business and technology) and focuses on business quality and testing analysis activities throughout the solution life cycle.  The QA Analyst II contributes expertise in business processes and system functionality to ensure quality and develop, execute and manage test assets for assigned projects.  The QA Analyst II communicates and tracks project test deliverables and metrics.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Execution.
  • Evaluate results and ensure problems are reported in a timely manner.
  • Identify, communicate and assist with testing issue resolution; escalate as appropriate.
  • Participate in the Quality Assurance and Test Management processes.
  • Understands and applies the SDLC and applies appropriate test methodology.
  • Contributes to project deliverables including test plan documents and status reports.
  • Provide test status per project requirements.
  • Communicates project change impacts to team members.
  • Review requirements and design for testability and quality.
  • Reviews test assets for accuracy and completeness.
  • Provides testing estimate for assigned areas.
  • May execute tests depending on project needs.
  • Planning.
  • Identify test data and environment needs.
  • Collaborates with project team to define and document test assets in alignment with business and system requirements.
  • Assists in developing testing approach and scope.
  • Identify opportunities for and participate in process improvement efforts.
  • Management/Leadership.
  • Identify testing risks and contribute to the overall management of project and risk plans.
  • Coordinates activities for assigned testers.
  • Facilitate conflict resolution and consensus building within team.
  • Escalate resource performance issues appropriately.
  • Coordinates with various teams to ensure proper test coverage.

QUALIFICATIONS

Academic:

  • Requires a Bachelor's Degree in a technical or business discipline, or equivalent work experience.
  • Certification in CSTE or CSQA preferred.
  • Certification in Project Management (PMI) a plus.

Experience:

  • Requires 3 to 5 years of progressive business analyst and testing experience.
  • 2-3 years IT experience in a healthcare/medical environment preferred.
  • Experience working with custom interfaces and integration projects strongly preferred.
  • Experience with HL7, MFT, Connexion strongly preferred.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

  • Requires ability to adapt to a variety of project team roles.
  • Requires ability to understand and apply business vision and direction.
  • Requires continuous learning of new skills that add value to projects and assignments.
  • Requires ability to deliver results on time and within budget.
