This is an exclusive and exciting contract opportunity working as part of a large Architecture Team managing the Systems Integration Team in support of Solution Architecture and Design Service. This role is working with cutting edge technology in a state of the art environment.

The role involves the management of the delivery of the core IT services to the client, across the three core sites and remote estates. This includes maintenance of IT infrastructure, provision of IT Service Desk support, technical support and management for project related work within the managed service environment. The role also includes the management of support to complex and bespoke technical applications.

Key Responsibilities

* Management of processes, documents underpinning repositories and services such as the Definitive Media Library, Microsoft SCCM and WSUS
* Ownership, monitoring, status accounting of the teams RAID log
* Assist with increasing quality and availability of services to the customer by developing and maintaining OLAs and SLAs
* Reduce infrastructure costs with best practices recommendations
* Build upon and develop stakeholder relationships
* Recognise and develop service improvements opportunities across the account
* Liaise with projects, giving advice and support during project life cycle, ensuring a smooth transition into service
* Ensure and assist with the validation of Operational Service repositories and Configuration databases
* Assist with Business Continuity activities/incidents, providing advice on the management of risk
* Provide accurate and timely reporting of workload status and related services
* Manage the team's personnel development plans ensuring that individual and business needs are meet
* Carry out the day to day management of the Systems Integration Team dealing with escalations and priorities
* Carry out the day to day management of the Systems Integration Team
* Carry out any other duties or tasks that can reasonably be attributed to this role

Essential Skills
* ITIL V2/V3 Foundation
* Experience on Application and OS virtualisation technologies
* Knowledge of Scripting, solutions architecture and testing approaches
* Experience of Windows 2000, XP and Microsoft Applications - In-depth knowledge of Windows XP SP3 including the Registry
* An understanding of LAN/WAN technologies, systems management and monitoring tools
* Knowledge of application and systems patching technologies along with associated terms and technologies
* An understanding of or exposure to the Information Assurance Management Maturity framework and Infosec
* Experience of managing systems within multiple security classifications
* Exposure to encryption and Secure Remote Access solutions

Desirable Skills
* Project management (PRINCE 2)
