Senior Actuarial Student Senior Actuarial Student to work for an innovative company that is helping shape the future of the life insurance industry. The actuarial pricing team plays a key role in the company's activities. The team combines a broad range of knowledge, skills and experience in both direct and reassurance offices. Combining an expert focus on modelling client and industry data with detailed research into pricing factors and trends, the team works closely and flexibly with clients.
Job Purpose:
- Co-ordinating the pricing of treaty quotations and ensuring they are conducted onthe agreed basis and within the specified service standards. This includes liaising with and ensuring correct information has been obtained from the client, analysing experience data, proposing a pricing basis, documentation of basis,checking of rates and drafting tender responses.
- Co-ordinating and carrying out mortality, morbidity and lapse experience
- Assisting in the supervision and development of Actuarial Assistants.
- Dealing with day to day client queries, including queries on treaties, participating
- Pricing of manual quotations in accordance with procedures and within the
Skills/Experience:
- UK Life office experience would be an advantage, especially pricing experience. However, consideration would be given to candidates from other backgrounds if they can demonstrate strong knowledge of UK protection products.
- Strong Excel skills are essential. Good Access and MoSes (or Prophet) skills would also be preferred, but not an absolute requirement.
- Should be studying towards the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries exams, and should have completed at least the CT series. Full study support will be provided.
